Description

For the Dough:

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk (110°F or 45°C)

  • 1 large egg

For the Strawberry Cheesecake Filling:

  • 8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup strawberry preserves or jam
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Fillings:

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in strawberry preserves and mix well.
  2. In another bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to create the cinnamon sugar filling.

Assemble the Rolls:

  1. Roll out the dough into a 15×12-inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
  3. Spread the strawberry cheesecake filling over the cinnamon layer. Sprinkle with fresh diced strawberries.
  4. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 even rolls.
  5. Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30-45 minutes.

Bake & Glaze:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Whisk together powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  4. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve!
