Description

These warm, cheesy, and garlicky biscuits are a comfort food favorite. Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and full of flavor, they’re perfect as a side for any meal or a tasty snack. Now, you can recreate the famous Red Lobster Garlic Cheese Biscuits right at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups self-rising flour

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold butter

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 3/4 cup cold milk

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).

  • In a large bowl, combine self-rising flour, garlic powder, and salt. Stir to mix.

  • Cut cold butter into small cubes and add to the flour mixture. Use your hands or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture looks crumbly with small butter pieces.

  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Gradually add cold milk while stirring gently. Mix until the dough comes together.

  • Spoon the dough onto a baking sheet, making about 8 to 10 mounds.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden and firm on top.

  • While the biscuits bake, melt butter and mix in garlic powder and parsley.

  • Once the biscuits are done, brush them with the garlic butter mixture while still hot.

Notes

If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can substitute it with all-purpose flour and add 2 teaspoons of baking powder.

You can swap out the cheddar cheese for Monterey Jack or mozzarella for a different flavor.

For a spicy kick, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the dough.
