- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

- Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 3/4 cup granulated sugar to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the chopped apple and stir briefly to coat it with the dry ingredients.
- Whisk the eggs, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, and Greek yogurt together in a separate bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until lumpy and moist.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon topping evenly over the cake batter.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Transfer the cake to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
- Mix the powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth.
- Add up to 1 additional tablespoon of milk if needed to create a drizzle consistency.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake, slice, and serve.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter, or the cake may become dense.
- Cut the apple into small, even pieces so it bakes evenly.
- Let the cake cool completely before adding the glaze.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
