Description

Soft and chewy oatmeal cookies with rich brown sugar flavor and flexible mix-in options.


Ingredients

1 ½ cups (186g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter softened

1 ½ cups (300g) packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 ¼ cups quick cooking oats

1 ½ cups mix-ins (optional)


Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, whisk cinnamon, salt, baking soda, and flour.

2. Cream butter and sugar until smooth, then beat in eggs and vanilla.

3. Mix in dry ingredients gently, then fold in oats and mix-ins.

4. Scoop dough into balls and chill for at least 30 minutes.

5. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets.

6. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges turn golden.

7. Cool on sheet 10 minutes, then transfer to rack.

Notes

Use chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, or candies.

Chill dough to support soft texture.

Store airtight for up to 4 days or freeze for 2 months.
