Description

Traeger Corn on the Cob takes a summer favorite and makes it even better with smoky flavor and perfect char. Grilled on a Traeger pellet grill at steady heat, this recipe enhances the natural sweetness of fresh corn. It’s simple to prepare, easy to customize with seasonings or butter, and makes a perfect side for any cookout or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob, husked and cleaned

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

Optional Additions:

  • Garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder

  • Fresh lime juice or chopped herbs (parsley, cilantro, chives)

  • Grated Parmesan or cotija cheese

  • Compound butter (mixed with herbs or spices)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Traeger: Set to 350°F and preheat for 15 minutes.

  2. Prepare Corn: Remove husks and silks. Rinse and pat dry.

  3. Optional Soaking: Soak corn in cold water for 15–30 minutes (optional for added moisture).

  4. Season: Brush corn with melted butter. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, or other spices if using.

  5. Grill Corn: Place corn directly on the grill grates or wrap in foil. Close the lid.

  6. Cook and Turn: Grill for 20–25 minutes, turning every 5 minutes for even cooking.

  7. Check for Doneness: Kernels should be golden, soft, and slightly charred.

  8. Serve: Top with extra butter, herbs, or cheese. Serve hot.

Notes

Grilling directly gives more smoky flavor; foil-wrapped corn stays juicier.

Use different wood pellets like hickory or apple for extra depth.

Great as a side with grilled chicken, burgers, or fresh salads.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat on the grill or in the microwave.
