Description

These Football Brownies are fudgy, rich chocolate treats made with a box mix upgrade and topped with luscious ganache. Shaped and decorated like mini footballs, they’re the ultimate crowd-pleaser for game day. With a secret flavor boost from hot coffee and fun white chocolate “laces,” these brownies are festive, easy to make, and guaranteed to score big at your next football party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box brownie mix

  • ½ cup (120 ml) oil

  • ⅓ cup (80 ml) hot coffee

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup (170 g) chocolate chips

  • ⅓ cup (80 ml) heavy cream

  • ⅓ cup (60 g) white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan (or smaller for thicker brownies) with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together brownie mix, oil, hot coffee, and egg until smooth. Pour into prepared pan.

  • Bake for 20 minutes or until set. Let cool completely.

  • Optional: Freeze the brownies for 10–15 minutes to make cutting easier.

  • Use a football-shaped cookie cutter (or a knife) to cut brownies into football shapes.

  • For ganache: Heat heavy cream in microwave for 30–45 seconds, pour over chocolate chips, cover, let sit, then whisk smooth.

  • Dip tops of brownies in ganache. Refrigerate to set.

  • Melt white chocolate chips in short bursts and stir until smooth. Pipe football laces onto brownies. Chill again to set.

Notes

Coffee enhances chocolate flavor without adding coffee taste.

Freeze brownies briefly before cutting for cleaner shapes.

Don’t skip the ganache—it adds a glossy, delicious finish.

No piping bag? Use a zip-top bag with a snipped corner.

Store decorated brownies in a single layer or separated by parchment.
