Description

These Lemon Cream Cheese Bars are a luscious dessert with a buttery crescent roll crust, a creamy cheesecake filling, and a burst of fresh lemon flavor. They are easy to make with simple ingredients and perfect for any occasion, from brunch to potlucks or just a sweet treat at home!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp lemon zest

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Prepare the crust: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, pinching seams together.

  • Make the filling: In a bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.

  • Assemble: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer.

  • Top layer: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully lay it over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.

  • Butter topping: Brush the melted butter over the top layer.

  • Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Cool & serve: Let cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar and slicing into bars.

Notes

  • For extra lemon flavor, add more zest or a drizzle of lemon glaze (powdered sugar + lemon juice).

  • Chill before serving for a firmer texture.

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
