Description

Sweet and Salty Pickle Cookies combine buttery sweetness with tangy pickle flavor for a bold and unique dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped pickles
  • Coarse sea salt optional
  • Pickle slices optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare baking sheets
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy
  3. Add egg and vanilla and mix well
  4. Stir in pickle juice
  5. Combine dry ingredients separately
  6. Mix dry ingredients into wet mixture
  7. Fold in chopped pickles
  8. Scoop dough onto baking sheets
  9. Add toppings if desired
  10. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes
  11. Cool before serving

Notes

  1. Do not overmix dough
  2. Drain pickles well
  3. Chill dough for better texture
