Instructions
- Process freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder
- Mix sparkling sugar with strawberry powder and set aside
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in extracts and food coloring
- Whisk dry ingredients together in a separate bowl
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients
- Chill dough for at least 2 hours
- Scoop dough into balls and roll in sparkling strawberry sugar
- Bake for about 10 minutes until tops are just set
- Cool briefly on baking sheet, then transfer to rack
