Description

A simple and delicious Strawberry Peach Crisp made with fresh fruit and a buttery oatmeal topping.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup salted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 cups peaches peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9 pan
  2. Mix oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter until crumbly
  3. Press half the mixture into the pan
  4. Add peaches and strawberries on top
  5. Cook brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and water until thickened
  6. Stir in vanilla and pour over fruit
  7. Add remaining topping on top
  8. Bake for 35 minutes
  9. Optional broil for 2-3 minutes

Notes

  1. Use ripe fruit for best flavor
  2. Watch closely while broiling
  3. Serve warm with ice cream
