Description

Chocolate dipped strawberries decorated like footballs make a fun, easy, and gluten-free game day dessert that looks festive and tastes fresh.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, rinsed and completely dried (about 2328 berries)
  • 12 oz gluten-free dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 oz gluten-free white chocolate chips or white chocolate bars

Instructions

  1. Rinse strawberries and pat completely dry.
  2. Melt two-thirds of the dark chocolate slowly, then stir in remaining chocolate until smooth.
  3. Dip each strawberry into melted chocolate, coating about three-quarters of the berry, and let excess drip off.
  4. Place dipped strawberries on wax paper and allow to set for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Melt white chocolate slowly and transfer to a piping bag.
  6. Pipe a center stripe and short lines across each strawberry to create a football design.

Notes

  1. Strawberries must be completely dry before dipping.
  2. Use low heat when melting chocolate to prevent burning.
  3. Best served the same day, but can be stored up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
