Description

This Simple Christmas Bruschetta Wreath is the perfect festive appetizer featuring juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, creamy white cheese, and crispy baguette slices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 garlic clove, for rubbing
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish
  • 1/2 cup soft white cheese (ricotta, cream cheese, or mozzarella pearls)
  • Optional: Grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 5–7 minutes until golden.
  2. While the bread is warm, rub each slice with the cut side of a garlic clove.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Gently fold the soft white cheese into the tomato mixture.
  5. Arrange the toasted baguette slices in a circular pattern on a round serving platter.
  6. Spoon the tomato and cheese mixture onto each baguette slice.
  7. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and sprinkle with Parmesan, if desired.
  8. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  1. To avoid soggy bread, assemble the bruschetta just before serving.
  2. Store the tomato mixture and bread separately if prepping ahead.
  3. For a pop of holiday color, add pomegranate seeds or cranberries as garnish.
