- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (4 oz) chopped green chiles
- 1 cup thick chunky salsa
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
- 1 can (2.25 oz) sliced ripe olives, drained
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- Blue corn tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl mix refried beans and taco seasoning until well combined
- Spread the bean mixture evenly on a large serving platter
- In another bowl mix softened cream cheese with chopped green chiles until smooth
- Spread the cream cheese mixture gently over the bean layer
- Spoon salsa evenly across the cream cheese layer
- Sprinkle shredded lettuce over the salsa
- Add shredded cheese evenly across the lettuce
- Top with sliced olives and diced tomatoes
- Refrigerate the dip until serving time
- Serve with blue corn tortilla chips
Notes
- Allow cream cheese to soften before mixing for easier spreading
- Use thick salsa to prevent excess liquid in the dip
- Add diced avocado for an optional extra layer
- Fresh cilantro can be sprinkled on top for garnish
