Description

These sesame garlic ramen noodles skip the seasoning packet and use a quick homemade sauce for bold, savory flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 blocks ramen noodles (12 oz total), seasoning packets discarded
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Sliced green onions, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook ramen noodles according to package directions and discard seasoning packets
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat
  3. Add minced garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes
  4. Stir in brown sugar and soy sauce
  5. Add cooked noodles and toss to coat evenly
  6. Serve immediately and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds

Notes

  1. Do not overcook the garlic
  2. Add a splash of noodle water if sauce thickens
