Description

This easy Saskatoon Berry Crisp is a delicious dessert made with wild Saskatoon berries and a crunchy oat topping.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Saskatoon berries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish
  2. Wash and dry berries, then mix with sugar and flour
  3. Add lemon juice if using and spread into baking dish
  4. Mix flour, oats, and brown sugar in a bowl
  5. Add butter and blend until crumbly
  6. Spread topping evenly over berries
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden

  2. Refrigerate up to one week
  3. Freeze for several months wrapped well
