Description

Rhubarb Dessert with Jello is a sweet and tangy dessert with a buttery crust and crumble topping, perfect for summer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 3 cups rhubarb
  • 3 oz cherry or strawberry jello
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8×8 pan
  2. Mix crust ingredients and press into pan
  3. Spread rhubarb over crust
  4. Sprinkle jello over rhubarb
  5. Mix topping ingredients and crumble over top
  6. Bake 45 to 50 minutes
  7. Cool before serving

Notes

  1. You can use strawberry jello instead of cherry
  2. Store in refrigerator up to 3 days
  3. Freeze up to 3 months in airtight container
