This quick and easy restaurant style salsa blends fire-roasted tomatoes, jalapeño, cilantro, garlic, and lime for a smooth and fresh Mexican appetizer ready in minutes.
Ingredients

- 2 (15 oz) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion, roughly chopped
- 3–4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 jalapeño, ribs and seeds removed
- 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- juice of 2 limes
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- pinch cayenne pepper
- large pinches kosher salt
- large pinch fresh cracked pepper
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor
- Blend for about one minute until everything is well minced and combined
- Taste and adjust salt if needed
- Serve with tortilla chips

- Drain canned tomato juice for thicker salsa
- Pulse briefly for chunkier salsa texture
- Regular blender or food processor works fine
- Flavor improves after resting in refrigerator for several hours or overnight
