Description

Puff Pastry Nutella Twists are the perfect last-minute dessert—flaky, buttery, and filled with rich Nutella swirls. They look fancy but come together in just 30 minutes, making them ideal for holidays, brunch spreads, or a quick indulgence. These chocolatey pastries are loved by kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 puff pastry sheets (25 x 25 cm each)

  • 15 tablespoons (225 g) Nutella (adjust to taste)

  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) water (for egg wash)

  • Optional: powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and thaw puff pastry per package instructions.

  • Roll out one pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.

  • Spread Nutella evenly, leaving a narrow border. Microwave Nutella briefly if too thick.

  • Place second pastry sheet on top to sandwich the Nutella.

  • Slice into strips; halve for shorter twists.

  • Twist each strip and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.

  • Brush with egg wash or lightly spray with oil.

  • Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and crisp.

  • Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Chill pastry if it softens while working.

Avoid overfilling with Nutella to prevent leaks.

Sprinkle with crushed peppermint or drizzle with melted white chocolate for a festive touch.

Can be assembled in advance and baked later.

Great with coffee, cocoa, or on a holiday snack board.a
