Description

Pizza Grilled Cheese is the ultimate comfort food mashup—crispy grilled bread stuffed with gooey mozzarella, pepperoni, and marinara sauce. It’s fast, flavorful, and perfect for any cheesy craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices of bread

  • 60 g softened butter (1/4 cup)

  • 30 g grated parmesan (1/4 cup)

  • 15 ml Italian seasoning (1 Tbsp)

  • 5 ml garlic powder (1 tsp)

  • 240 ml marinara sauce (1 cup)

  • 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups)

  • 100 g pepperoni slices (1 cup)

Instructions

  1. Make Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl, combine grated parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

  2. Prep Bread: Butter one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle the parmesan seasoning onto the buttered sides.

  3. Assemble Sandwiches: On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, spread marinara sauce. Add mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices. Top with remaining bread, buttered side out.

  4. Grill Sandwiches: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook sandwiches 5–8 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden and melty.

  5. Serve: Slice and serve hot with extra marinara for dipping.

Notes

Use sturdy bread like sourdough for best crunch.

Omit pepperoni for a vegetarian version or swap with veggies.

Add chili flakes to spice it up.

Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven to retain crispness.

Can be prepped ahead and grilled the next day.
