Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Bowls deliver all the cheesy, savory goodness of the iconic sandwich—without the bread. Juicy steak, caramelized peppers and onions, and gooey cheese are served over your choice of cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or white rice. Ready in just 20 minutes, this hearty yet low-carb-friendly dinner is perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp salt (to taste)

  • 1 tsp black pepper (to taste)

  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

  • 4 cups cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or white rice (base)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and cover.

  • In the same skillet, sauté onion, peppers, and garlic for 4–5 minutes until softened and caramelized.

  • Prepare bowls with your chosen base (cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or rice).

  • Divide steak and veggies among bowls. Top with shredded cheese and let melt.

  • For a crisp melty finish, broil bowls 1–2 minutes if desired.

  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Freeze steak for 15 minutes before slicing for thinner, easier cuts.

Provolone gives a classic flavor, while mozzarella makes it extra gooey.

Add mushrooms to the sauté for extra depth.

Great for meal prep—store components separately and assemble before serving.
