Description

Level up your festive snacks with these super cute pesto puff pastry Christmas trees—crisp, cheesy, and ready in 25 minutes.


Ingredients

2 sheets of puff pastry

1/2 cup basil pesto

1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 egg, whisked (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon hot honey

2 teaspoons red pepper flakes


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 360°F/180°C and line a tray with parchment paper.

2. Roll out puff pastry and spread pesto evenly.

3. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.

4. Cover with second sheet of pastry and press to seal.

5. Cut 1-inch strips, fold into tree shapes, and skewer.

6. Cut small pastry stars and attach to tops.

7. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15 minutes until golden.

8. Drizzle with hot honey and sprinkle red pepper flakes.

Make ahead: Assemble trees a day early, refrigerate, and bake before serving.
