Ingredients

2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 2-inch strips

3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cube beef bouillon

1/4 cup hot water

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 large green bell peppers, roughly chopped

1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon white sugar

1 teaspoon salt


Instructions

1. Sprinkle beef strips with garlic powder.

2. Heat oil and sear beef until browned.

3. Transfer beef to crock pot.

4. Dissolve bouillon in hot water and mix in cornstarch.

5. Pour mixture over beef.

6. Add onions, peppers, tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.

7. Cover and cook on High 3–4 hours or Low 6–8 hours.

Notes

Add Worcestershire sauce or chili flakes for more flavor.

For thicker sauce, add extra cornstarch slurry near the end.

Use gluten-free soy sauce and bouillon if needed.
