Description

Refreshing homemade Peach Tea made with fresh peaches, black tea, and simple ingredients for the perfect summer drink.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 to 3 fresh peaches, sliced
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 6 cups water
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the peaches.
  2. Combine sugar, water, and peaches in a saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil and stir while lightly crushing peaches.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer briefly.
  5. Turn off heat, cover, and let sit for 30 minutes.
  6. Boil 6 cups water and steep tea bags for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove tea bags and refrigerate tea.
  8. Strain peach syrup through a fine mesh strainer.
  9. Mix syrup into chilled tea.
  10. Serve over ice.

Notes

  1. Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
  2. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup.
  3. Store refrigerated for up to 4 days.
