Description

Fresh Peach Tart with buttery crust, almond flavor, and crisp crumble topping for an easy summer dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup mild olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
  • 3 to 5 ripe peaches, sliced thick
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and grease an 11-inch tart pan.
  2. Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Whisk oils, milk, and almond extract in another bowl.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures gently until dough forms.
  5. Press dough evenly into tart pan and up the sides.
  6. Mix remaining sugar, flour, salt, and butter until crumbly.
  7. Arrange peach slices over crust in overlapping circles.
  8. Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over peaches.
  9. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Cool slightly before serving with whipped cream.

Notes

  1. Use ripe but firm peaches for best texture.
  2. Add extra flour if peaches release too much juice.
  3. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  4. Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
