Description

The BEST Peach Dump Cake with buttery brown sugar pecan topping and juicy peaches baked until golden and crisp.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cans peaches in heavy syrup (15 ounces each)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Drain 2 cans of peaches and leave 1 can undrained.
  3. Spread peaches evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over peaches.
  5. Cover peaches with dry cake mix and gently press down evenly.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar over the cake mix.
  7. Arrange thin butter slices evenly across the top.
  8. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the butter.
  9. Bake for 1 hour until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Cover loosely with foil if pecans brown too quickly.
  11. Let rest several minutes before serving warm.

Notes

  1. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  2. White cake mix can replace yellow cake mix if preferred.
  3. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
