Description

Old-fashioned Peach Crisp with juicy peaches, cinnamon, and a buttery oat topping baked until golden and bubbly.


Ingredients

  • 8 cups peeled and thinly sliced fresh peaches
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, room temperature
  • 1 3/4 cups old-fashioned oats
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and butter a 9×9 baking dish.
  2. Mix peaches, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Spread peach mixture into prepared baking dish.
  4. Mix brown sugar, remaining flour, butter, and remaining cinnamon until clumpy.
  5. Stir oats into topping mixture until coarse crumbs form.
  6. Sprinkle topping evenly over peaches.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until topping is golden and filling bubbles.
  8. Rest for 10 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

  1. Use ripe but firm peaches for best texture.
  2. Frozen peaches should be thawed and drained before using.
  3. Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
  4. Reheat in oven or microwave before serving.
