Description

This easy Peach and Basil Flatbread features naan bread topped with mozzarella, fresh peaches, basil, and optional balsamic reduction for a quick summer meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large naan breads
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 fresh peach, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 15 basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix olive oil and garlic in a small bowl.
  3. Brush the mixture over both naan breads.
  4. Place naan on a lightly sprayed baking sheet.
  5. Top with mozzarella slices.
  6. Arrange peach slices over the cheese.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and browned.
  9. If desired, simmer balsamic vinegar until reduced and thickened.
  10. Remove flatbreads from oven and sprinkle with basil.
  11. Drizzle with balsamic reduction if using.
  12. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Substitute tomatoes for a caprese-style version.
  2. Try goat cheese, gouda, gruyere, or asiago.
  3. Add cooked chicken, sausage, or shrimp for extra protein.
  4. Use apples, pears, or plums instead of peaches.
