- 1 cup strawberry cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 to 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 to 2 teaspoons red food coloring
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles
- 16 ounces almond bark or vanilla flavored coating
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add cake flour, strawberry cake mix, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Mix until combined and add milk gradually until dough forms.
- Stir in red food coloring and sprinkles.
- Roll dough into one-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Chill truffles for 15 minutes.
- Melt almond bark in the microwave using 30-second intervals.
- Dip each truffle into melted coating and remove excess coating.
- Place coated truffles back on tray and top with sprinkles.
- Chill until firm and serve cold.
Notes
- Chill truffles before coating for easier dipping.
- Add milk gradually to avoid sticky dough.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
