Description

No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars are an irresistible layered treat made with buttery oats and a rich chocolate peanut butter filling. This quick and easy no-bake dessert is perfect for warm days, last-minute gatherings, or anytime you crave something sweet without heating the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225 g) butter

  • ½ cup (110 g) packed brown sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 cups (240 g) quick cooking oats

  • 1 cup (175 g) semisweet chocolate chips

  • ½ cup (125 g) peanut butter

Instructions

  • Lightly grease a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan.

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla.

  • Add oats and cook on low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly.

  • Press half the oat mixture into the bottom of the pan. Set aside the rest.

  • In another saucepan, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter until smooth.

  • Spread the chocolate mixture over the oat base.

  • Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top and press down gently.

  • Cover and refrigerate for 2–3 hours or overnight.

  • Let stand at room temperature before slicing into bars.

Notes

Use quick oats for best results; rolled oats may be too coarse.

Line pan with parchment for easy lifting.

Top with sea salt for a sweet-salty finish.

Store chilled to keep bars firm.
