Description
The famous $250 Neiman Marcus chocolate chip cookies loaded with oatmeal, milk chocolate, semi-sweet chips, and walnuts.
Ingredients
1 cup salted butter, room temperature (8 ounces)
1 cup packed dark brown sugar (200 grams)
1 cup granulated sugar (200 grams)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (4 grams)
2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats (240 grams)
2 cups all-purpose flour (260 grams)
1/2 teaspoon salt (4 grams)
1 teaspoon baking soda (4 grams)
1 teaspoon baking powder (3 grams)
4 ounces milk chocolate Hershey bar, chopped
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts (150 grams)
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 375ºF. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Cream butter and sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
3. Grind oats until powdery.
4. Combine ground oats, flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
5. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix gently.
6. Chop or grate Hershey bar. Add chocolate chips and walnuts. Mix gently.
7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets.
8. Add extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
9. Bake for 10 minutes.
10. Cool 5 minutes on pan, then move to rack.
Notes
Line pans with parchment or silicone mats.
Bake immediately; do not refrigerate dough.
Do not over bake for soft centers.
Store airtight for up to 4 days; freeze well.
