Description

Neapolitan Cookies combine chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla dough into one colorful, chewy, and crisp cookie.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Mix flour baking soda and salt
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract
  5. Combine dry and wet ingredients
  6. Divide dough into three portions
  7. Mix strawberry powder into one portion
  8. Mix cocoa powder into another portion
  9. Leave one portion plain vanilla
  10. Roll each dough into logs and combine
  11. Shape into cookies
  12. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes

Notes

  1. Use freeze-dried strawberries for best flavor
  2. Chill dough if it becomes too soft
  3. Do not overbake to keep cookies chewy
