Description

Mini Shepherd’s Pie made in individual portions with savory meat, vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes, perfect for freezer meals.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cans mixed vegetables, drained
  • 1 pound ground turkey or ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray mini foil pans.
  2. Cook ground meat until browned and season with paprika and garlic salt.
  3. Mash potatoes with milk, butter, and sour cream until smooth.
  4. Layer meat, vegetables, and mashed potatoes in each pan.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese bubbles.
  7. Broil for 1 minute to brown the top.

Notes

  1. Cool completely before freezing.
  2. Store covered pies in freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months.
  3. Reheat from frozen at 400°F for 45 to 50 minutes.
