This Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Casserole is a cheesy, savory dinner loaded with steak and veggies. Make ahead for a comforting, protein-rich meal!
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, diced
2 large bell peppers (green, red, or a mix), diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz cream cheese
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
2. Cook the Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add onions and peppers; cook 5–6 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
3. Brown the Beef: Add ground beef, season, and cook until browned, about 7–8 minutes.
4. Add Seasonings: Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
5. Incorporate Cream Cheese: Reduce heat; melt cream cheese into mixture.
6. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spread mixture into dish.
7. Top with Cheese: Add provolone and mozzarella.
8. Bake: Bake 20–25 minutes until bubbly.
9. Rest: Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can use sliced steak instead of ground beef. Adjust peppers or cheese to taste.
