Description

Light and refreshing Lemon Sorbet made with fresh lemon juice, water, sugar, and lemon zest. A simple dairy-free frozen dessert perfect for warm weather.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar or granulated erythritol
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon vodka (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ice cream machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves.
  4. Allow the syrup to cool, then refrigerate until cold.
  5. Add the chilled syrup, lemon juice, lemon zest, and optional vodka to the ice cream maker.
  6. Churn for about 15 minutes until slushy.
  7. Serve immediately for a soft texture or transfer to a freezer-safe container.
  8. Freeze for one hour and stir.
  9. Continue freezing until the desired sorbet consistency is reached.
  10. Serve with an ice cream scoop.
