Description

These Jalapeno Popper Cream Cheese Pinwheels are a quick and crowd-pleasing appetizer. They combine the creamy richness of cream cheese, the kick of jalapenos, and the melty goodness of cheddar cheese—all rolled up in soft tortillas. Great for parties, snacks, or meal prep, these pinwheels are fun, flavorful, and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
    • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    • 2 fresh jalapenos (seeded and finely chopped) or 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos

    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 2 green onions (chopped)

    • 4 large flour tortillas

    • Optional: 4 slices cooked bacon (crumbled)

    • Optional: 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients:

    • Soften the cream cheese by leaving it out for 20 minutes.

    • Finely chop the jalapenos, green onions, and optional ingredients.

  2. Mix the Filling:

    • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, and any optional mix-ins. Stir until well blended.

  3. Assemble the Pinwheels:

    • Spread the filling evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border.

    • Roll the tortilla up tightly.

  4. Chill:

    • Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This helps them firm up and makes slicing easier.

  5. Slice and Serve:

    • Remove the wraps from the fridge, unwrap, and slice into 1-inch pieces.

    • Arrange on a serving platter and serve with your favorite dip.

Notes

To reduce the spice, use fewer jalapenos or choose pickled ones.

For a vegan version, use dairy-free cream cheese and cheese.

These can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
