Description

Honey garlic ground turkey cooked in a sweet and savory sauce for a quick and reliable dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Lower heat and add garlic, stirring for one minute.
  4. Whisk honey, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour sauce into skillet and stir to coat turkey.
  6. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Stir in green onions and remove from heat.
  8. Serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce cups.

Notes

  1. Substitute ground chicken or beef if needed.
  2. Increase red pepper flakes for more heat.
  3. Store leftovers refrigerated for three days or frozen for two months.
