Description

Fresh Homemade Pico de Gallo made with tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime. A quick fresh salsa recipe perfect as a dip for tortilla chips or topping for tacos.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large roma tomatoes diced
  • 1 medium jalapeno seeds and membranes removed
  • 1/2 cup white onion finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 lime
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the tomato, onion, jalapeno and cilantro.
  2. Add the diced ingredients to a medium bowl.
  3. Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Stir gently until well combined.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes so the flavors blend together before serving.

Notes

  1. Refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 5 days.
  2. Only add avocado if you will eat the pico de gallo the same day.
