Description

These Healthy No-Bake Energy Balls are chewy, quick, and naturally sweet with rolled oats, creamy peanut butter, chia seeds, and maple syrup. Make them in 5 minutes for an easy snack, lunch box treat, or meal prep bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats or quick oats
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, or allergy-friendly substitute
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, honey, or agave
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Optional handful mini chocolate chips or raisins

Instructions

  1. If the peanut butter is not soft, gently warm it until easy to stir.
  2. Add the oats, chia seeds, and salt to a medium mixing bowl, then stir until evenly combined.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter and maple syrup until the mixture looks evenly coated and slightly sticky.
  4. Fold in mini chocolate chips or raisins, if using.
  5. Scoop small portions and roll firmly into 16 energy balls.
  6. Serve right away, or chill for a firmer texture.
  7. Store leftovers in a covered container at room temperature, in the refrigerator, or in the freezer.

Notes

  1. Use certified gluten-free oats if needed.
  2. If the mixture feels dry, add a teaspoon of maple syrup or a small spoonful of peanut butter.
  3. If the mixture feels too wet, add a few more oats.
  4. For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter.
  5. Nutrition is estimated per energy ball without optional chocolate chips or raisins.
