Description
Grilled broccoli with garlic, honey, and parmesan creates a smoky, flavorful, and healthy BBQ side dish.
Ingredients

- 2 lb broccoli
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Trim fibrous bottom of broccoli stems and cut into florets.
- Whisk olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, and garlic.
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Add broccoli and toss to coat then let sit for 10 minutes.
- Place broccoli on grill and sprinkle lightly with salt.
- Grill 8 to 10 minutes turning every 2 minutes and basting with marinade.
- Remove when tender and slightly charred.
- Sprinkle Parmesan and extra red pepper flakes.
- Serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Use large florets to prevent falling through grill grates.
- Do not use high heat to avoid burning marinade.
- Let broccoli marinate at least 10 minutes for better flavor.
- Add lemon juice before serving for brightness.
