- 1½ pounds steak ribeye strip steak or sirloin cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil vegetable or avocado oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 green onions sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional
Instructions
- Slice steak into thin strips against the grain and pat dry with paper towels
- Season steak with kosher salt and black pepper
- Preheat flat top griddle to medium high heat and spread cooking oil across the surface
- Place steak on the griddle in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes without moving
- Flip steak and cook another 2 minutes
- Add garlic soy sauce butter and sesame oil and toss everything together while finishing cooking
- Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the steak and serve immediately
Notes
- Use medium high heat so the steak forms a crust
- Avoid overcrowding the griddle to prevent steaming
