Description

Juicy griddle steak cooked on a flat top with garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil for a quick restaurant style dinner with bold flavor.


Ingredients

  • pounds steak ribeye strip steak or sirloin cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil vegetable or avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional

Instructions

  1. Slice steak into thin strips against the grain and pat dry with paper towels
  2. Season steak with kosher salt and black pepper
  3. Preheat flat top griddle to medium high heat and spread cooking oil across the surface
  4. Place steak on the griddle in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes without moving
  5. Flip steak and cook another 2 minutes
  6. Add garlic soy sauce butter and sesame oil and toss everything together while finishing cooking
  7. Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the steak and serve immediately

Notes

  1. Use medium high heat so the steak forms a crust
  2. Avoid overcrowding the griddle to prevent steaming
