This creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta is made in one pot in just 20 minutes. Angel hair cooks in a buttery garlic cream sauce for an easy weeknight meal or side dish.

- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 8 ounces angel hair pasta
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Grate the Parmesan cheese and let it come to room temperature.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in a large skillet.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth and optional seasonings, then slowly stir in the milk and bring to a boil.
- Add angel hair pasta and submerge as it softens.
- Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Reduce heat to low and add remaining tablespoon of butter, tossing to coat.
- Turn off heat and gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Let rest briefly until sauce thickens, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
- Make sure the liquid is boiling before adding the pasta.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melting results.
- Turn off heat before adding cheese to prevent grainy texture.
- Add cheese gradually while stirring continuously.
