Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Steak:

    • 1 lb steak (sirloin, flank steak, or ribeye)

    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

    • 1 tablespoon honey

    • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • For the Noodles:

    • 8 oz egg noodles, linguine, spaghetti, or rice noodles (your choice)

    • Salt (for boiling water)

    • Olive oil (optional for tossing noodles)

  • For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

    • 3 garlic cloves, minced

    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

    • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

    • 1 teaspoon honey

    • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

  • Optional Add-ins and Garnishes:

    • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers or mushrooms (for extra veggies)

    • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

    • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

    • A pinch of chili flakes or fresh chili slices for spice

    • Lime wedges for a citrus kick

Substitutions:

  • Protein: Chicken, shrimp, or tofu are great substitutes for steak.

  • Noodles: Use zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.

  • Dairy-Free: Swap butter with olive oil or a plant-based butter alternative.

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak
Mix soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic in a bowl. Coat the steak with the marinade and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.

  2. Cook the Noodles
Boil salted water and cook your noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside. Optionally, toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.

  3. Cook the Steak
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden and crisp. Let it rest before slicing thinly.

  4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, ensuring it doesn’t burn. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Let it simmer for a minute.

  5. Combine
Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the sauce and toss until coated. Add the sliced steak on top.

  6. Serve
Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and chili flakes. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side if desired.

Notes

Make it Spicy: Add more chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce.

Customizing the Protein: Try chicken or shrimp for a lighter alternative.

Flavor Adjustments: Add more honey for sweetness or extra soy sauce for saltiness.
