Description

French Apple Jam is a cozy homemade preserve made with fresh apples, lemon juice, and fragrant cardamom. This chunky jam tastes delicious on toast, pastries, pancakes, and cheese boards.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
  • Juice of 2 lemons, divided
  • Cold water for soaking apples

Instructions

  1. Fill a large bowl with cold water and add the juice of one lemon.
  2. Peel, core, and quarter the apples, then place them into the lemon water.
