Description

Rich, fudgy brownie bites decorated to look like mini footballs—these Football Brownie Bites are the ultimate game day dessert. Easy to make, fun to decorate, and irresistibly poppable, they’re the perfect sweet treat for tailgate parties, Super Bowl gatherings, or any football-themed event.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 container (16 oz) chocolate cake frosting

  • ½ container (8 oz) cream cheese, buttercream, or vanilla frosting (for laces)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a mini muffin pan with nonstick spray.

  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

  • Combine: Stir wet ingredients into dry until smooth and thick.

  • Fill Muffin Cups: Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling ¾ full. Let batter sit for 10 minutes for domed tops.

  • Bake: Bake for 12-13 minutes, until edges are set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool 5 minutes in pan, then transfer to a wire rack.

  • Decorate: Spread chocolate frosting over each brownie bite to form a football shape. Pipe white frosting “laces” on top using a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped.

Notes

Chill brownie bites before frosting for easier decorating.

Use white chocolate candy melts for an easier lace alternative.

Add crushed pretzels or peanuts on top of the frosting for extra crunch.

Can be made with boxed brownie mix for a quicker version.

Freeze unfrosted brownie bites for up to 1 month.
