Soft and colorful Fireworks Cookies and Cream Cookies loaded with Oreo chunks, patriotic sprinkles, and red, white, and blue M&M’s. These easy cake mix cookies make the perfect Fourth of July dessert.

- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 2 cups Oreo cookie chunks
- 3/4 cup red white and blue M&M’s divided
- 1/2 cup red white and blue sprinkles divided
Instructions
- Mix the cake mix butter cream cheese egg and vanilla extract until soft dough forms.
- Fold in the Oreo chunks 1/2 cup M&M’s and 1/4 cup sprinkles gently.
- Refrigerate the dough for 60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Scoop dough into 24 equal balls using a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop.
- Press remaining M&M’s and extra sprinkles onto the tops of the dough balls.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
- Let cookies cool completely before storing.
Notes
- Do not overmix the dough after adding Oreo cookies.
- Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized cookies.
- Add extra sprinkles before baking for more color.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
