- 5 peaches, peeled, cored and sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- Ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine peaches, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves and juices form.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Melt butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk into a batter.
- Pour batter over melted butter.
- Spoon peaches and juices over batter.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake for 38 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
- Use one quart canned peaches if desired.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream.
- Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
