Description

A classic Family Peach Cobbler with juicy peaches, buttery topping, and warm cinnamon flavor.


Ingredients

  • 5 peaches, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • Ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine peaches, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves and juices form.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  4. Melt butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk into a batter.
  6. Pour batter over melted butter.
  7. Spoon peaches and juices over batter.
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  9. Bake for 38 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

  1. Use one quart canned peaches if desired.
  2. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
  3. Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 4 days.
