Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Dough:

    • 4 cups all-purpose flour

    • 1 cup warm milk (dairy or plant-based)

    • 1/4 cup sugar

    • 1 tsp salt

    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

    • 1 egg

    • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast

  • For the Filling:

    • 1/2 cup Biscoff cookie butter

    • 1/2 cup brown sugar

    • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • For the Frosting:

    • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    • 1/4 cup Biscoff cookie butter

    • 2 tbsp milk (to adjust consistency)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:

    • Warm the milk to about 100°F (38°C) and mix with sugar and instant yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

    • Add in the egg, melted butter, and salt. Stir to combine.

    • Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a dough forms.

    • Knead for about 8 minutes, then cover and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  • Make the Filling:

    • Mix Biscoff cookie butter, softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.

    • Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16×12 inches). Spread the filling evenly on the dough.

  • Shape the Rolls:

    • Roll up the dough tightly from the long edge. Cut into 12 even pieces.

    • Place the rolls in a greased 9×13 baking dish, spaced slightly apart.

    • Let the rolls rise for 30–45 minutes until puffed.

  • Bake the Rolls:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 22–26 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

  • Make the Frosting:

    • Beat together softened cream cheese, Biscoff cookie butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Add milk to achieve a spreadable consistency.

  • Finish the Rolls:

    • Let the rolls cool for 10 minutes. Spread the frosting over the warm rolls.

    • Optional: Sprinkle with crushed Biscoff cookies for added crunch.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, try using dairy-free and plant-based ingredients.

  • Add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or extra spice to the filling for a fun twist.

  • For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free flour blend with xanthan gum.
