Description

Soft and chewy dairy-free chocolate chip cookies that taste like a classic favorite without any dairy.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoon arrowroot powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¾ cup vegan butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup raw cane sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Mix vegan butter and sugars until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and chill dough for 2 hours.
  6. Preheat oven to 325°F and prepare baking sheet.
  7. Scoop dough into balls and place on sheet.
  8. Bake for 12 minutes and cool before serving.

Notes

  1. Chill dough to prevent spreading.
  2. Do not substitute flour.
  3. Store in airtight container with bread.
  4. Freeze dough for up to 3 months.
