Description

Crockpot French Onion Meatballs are tender beef meatballs slow cooked in savory onion broth and topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
  3. Place the meatballs into the crockpot.
  4. Mix beef broth with French onion soup mix and pour over meatballs.
  5. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  6. Add mozzarella cheese and cook 15 minutes until melted.

Notes

  1. Serve with crusty bread.
  2. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  3. This recipe can be made ahead and frozen.
