Description
Crock pot cajun chicken pasta is creamy and delicious with a little heat, made easily in the slow cooker for a comforting family dinner.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds chicken breasts
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Add the chicken, heavy whipping cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic powder and Cajun seasoning into a 6 quart crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.
- Remove the chicken and shred or dice into large pieces.
- Whisk the sauce in the crock pot until combined.
- Return the chicken to the crock pot and stir in the uncooked penne pasta.
- Cover and cook on high for 20 to 30 minutes until the pasta is tender.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cover for 5 minutes until melted.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Reduce the Cajun seasoning by half if sensitive to spice.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Add a splash of broth or cream when reheating to maintain creaminess.
